REAL ALES

Picture
The Bass Brewery /ˈbæs/ was founded in 1777 by William Bass in Burton-upon-Trent, Staffordshire, England. The main brand was Bass Pale Ale, once the highest-selling beer in the UK. By 1877, Bass had become the largest brewery in the world, with an annual output of one million barrels. Its pale ale was exported throughout the British Empire, and the company's iconic red triangle became the UK's first registered trade mark.

Still brewed to an original recipe, using only the finest ingredients and the experience of generations. A classic full-flavoured ale with a complex nutty, malty taste and subtle hop undertones.

Unfortunately we are having difficulty in obtaining Bass.

BITTER

Picture

A legend in the beer world, John Smith’s is a classic, clean Yorkshire bitter, with a distinct smooth and creamy texture.

MILD

Picture
Mild as a beer style is one of the oldest in the British brewing tradition. As its name suggests, Mild is mild in terms of alcohol and hop bitterness, the superb flavours of this style of beer are driven by the use of top quality crystal and roasted barleys. Theakston Mild is almost certainly one of the original two or three beers brewed by Robert Theakston when he first started brewing in Masham in 1827.

A dark, delicious beer with a dry palate and a full, rounded, Fuggle hop flavour. It is brewed using three malts; pale malt for body, crystal malt for rich flavour and black malt for texture and taste and is the only truly national, permanently available Mild brand.

STOUT

Picture
Guinness is an Irish dry stout that originated in the brewery of Arthur Guinness at St. James's Gate, Dublin, Ireland, in 1759. It is one of the most successful alcohol brands worldwide, brewed in almost 50 countries, and available in over 120. Sales in 2011 amounted to 850 million litres. In spite of declining consumption since 2001, it is the best-selling alcoholic drink in Ireland where Guinness & Co. Brewery makes almost €2 billion worth of beer annually.

One of the world's best-loved beers, from the first velvety sip to the last, lingering drop, every deep-dark satisfying mouthful in between is pure beauty… pure Guinness.

LAGERS

Picture
Kronenbourg 1664 is a golden pale lager with an alcohol percentage of 5.5% ABV in continental Europe and 5.0% for the UK market.[1] It was first brewed in 1664 by Canon Brewery in the Alsace region of France by master brewer Geronimus Hatt. It uses the exact same recipe as was first used in 1664.[2] For the UK market only, Kronenbourg 1664 is owned and produced in the UK by Heineken after being bought from Scottish & Newcastle. However, the Carlsberg Group officially still owns and brews Kronenbourg in other markets.[3] The French lager contains Strisselspalt hops, unique to the Alsace, which are used in its brewing process and give the beer its bitter and fragrant citrus taste.

Kronenbourg 1664's pleasure is in its light lemon and herbal flavours from the Alsace hops, and clean bittersweet finish.

The Carling Brewery was founded in 1840 by Thomas Carling at London in Upper Canada (now Ontario, Canada). In 1952, Carling lager was first sold in the United Kingdom, and in the early 1980s, it became the UK's most popular beer brand (by volume sold). The company changed hands numerous times – it was acquired by Canadian Breweries, which was eventually renamed Carling O'Keefe, which merged with the Molson Brewery, which then merged with Coors to form Molson Coors.

Carling has a well balanced flavour of sweetness and bitterness, ensuring perfect refreshment. Carling is brewed with 100% British Barley, which is Red Tractor accredited.

Foster's Lager is an internationally-distributed brand of lager. It is owned by the international brewing group Asahi Group Holdings., and is brewed under licence in a number of countries, including its biggest market, the UK, where the European rights to the brand are owned by Heineken International.

Foster's is the ultimate ice-cold refreshment. Its balance of subtle fruitiness and vanilla is ideal for the sweeter-toothed lager lover. The perfect beer to enjoy with mates.

Strongbow Dark Fruit has cult status in the cider world. Extremely refreshing with dark fruit notes and a clean finish - it’s a great pub garden pint.

INCHES CIDER
Back in 1916, a man called Sam started making cider. He named it ‘Inch's’, after his family name – Inch.
A lot’s changed around here since then.
We’re still as dedicated to our craft as we’ve always been. And whilst we’re proud of our heritage, we’re not ones to rest on our laurels. We always look to the future: creating sustainable cider for a new generation of drinkers.

We believe that cider making is about all the little things, that finishing touch of care or that extra moment of attention. Not going that extra mile, but going that extra Inch. Because when you add up all the little things you create a better tasting cider.
